10.30 am - 4 pm
Money is an intrepid traveller, destined for diverse locations across the globe, invested in businesses and industries, some positive others destructive. Its most unsavoury destinations are well documented: the arms trade, gambling, tobacco, industries where workers are exploited or environments damaged, the making of corrupt payments to secure contracts... You get the picture.
8.15 am – 11.45 am
As a leading global investment house, we take our responsibility as an investor seriously. Nowadays there’s an ever-increasing awareness of environmental problems, such as biodiversity loss and the need for waste reduction, and social issues such as responsible sourcing and human rights. Consumers are expressing more concern about the impact of companies’ behaviour on the social and global environment. This seminar highlights how we put these concerns into practice and our commitment to responsible investing as a whole.
10.30 am – 4pm
Your Faith, Your Finance and the Common Good will explore the role of money in our personal lives, our churches, our society and its impact on the world around us.
We will hear from experts in their field, participants in ECCR’s Ethical Money Church project and have interactive dialogue between those who have a particular interest in faithful stewardship of money and opportunities to use it for the Common Good.
2 pm - 5 pm
The seminar has been organised by Investing Ethically Ltd (ethical independent financial advisers) to inform attendees about green and socially responsible investments and gain a deeper understanding of how you can match these with their ethical concerns.
11 am- 4 pm
Commitment to sustainability has survived through the financial crisis, and has become a core commitment within many organisations. It is still however perceived by many as offering only a ‘brand halo’. With September’s UN Summit in New York and the COP21 Summit in Paris at the end of the year, there will certainly be a lot to talk about.
Critical Mass is the conference for anyone interested in social value, investment and innovation, whether you're from a corporate, social enterprise, charity, the responsible business world, the public sector or from the City. This year's event is brought to you by Good Deals 2015 + Social Value International (formerly The SROI Network and SIAA).
11. 30am - 5. 30pm
The ethical market is growing, but how can it break out of its traditional niche?
The Ethical Consumer conference for 2015 will bring together leaders in their field to help develop thinking on how producers, retailers and consumers need to evolve to meet the demands of the mainstream.
